GrADS MacroGrid Testbed and Services
The GrADS MacroGrid — the large scale, wide-area grid environment on which numerous grid applications will run — is required both to validate MicroGrid results and to explore configurations that cannot be simulated effectively in a MicroGrid environment.
GrADS PIs are already working with the NSF Partnerships for Advanced Computational Infrastructure (the Alliance and NPACI), NASA, and DOE to build large-scale prototype grids. In addition we are constructing integrated testbeds within the GrADS institutions, for controlled experiments running distributed applications executing atop the developing GrADSoft architecture.
