CGrADS Site Visit Participant - Brian Stevens
Currrent PositionAs the executive director and chief operating officer for The Telecom Opportunity Institute (TTOI), Mr. Stevens oversees all development efforts and operations for TTOI. Mr. Stevens leads a growing national effort to promote partnerships with corporations, foundations, and community organizations to increase opportunities for women, ethnic minorities and at-risk youth in telecommunications and technology. Professional HistoryPrior to joining TTOI, Mr. Stevens was Executive Director Marketing and Affinity Development ChaseCom, L.P. Stevens joined ChaseCom after serving as vice president of private banking and investments at Mercantile Bank in Saint Louis, Missouri. At Mercantile Bank, he was responsible for investment management, personal trust, estate services and institutional trust sales in Eastern Missouri and generated more than $1 billion in new assets. Mr. Stevens also had a 7-year career with SBC Communications, during which he held a series of increasingly responsible sales and marketing positions including two years management consulting experience with SBC International in Mexico. Other InformationMr. Stevens has served on a number of Boards and Advisory Committees including Gateway Metro Credit Union, the Annie Malone Day Care and Respite Center and the H.I.S.D. Digital Book Fair. He is a graduate of Harvard College with a Bachelors Degree in Afro-American Studies. |
