Research Advisor: Dr. Petr Kloucek

Research Experience:

1999-Present
Developed computational method for modelling evolution of metastable systems. The method is based on adaptive Nonconforming Domain Decomposition technique. Method is designed to capture solutions with variety of competing scales.

Summers 1997, 1998
Worked under supervision of Professor Petr Kloucek at Rice University and Professor Aladin Boriek at Baylor College of Medicine in problem that modeled muscle fibers of the diaphragm.

Publications:

  1. The Computational Modeling of Internal Surfaces in Crystals.Petr Kloucek and Luis A. Melara.Submitted to Journal of Computational Physics, 2001.
