* GirlTECH '95 Tech Teacher; Master Teacher '96, '97, '99, 2000, 2001 The Center for Research on Parallel Computation (CRPC) is proud to sponsor TeacherTECH '01, a teacher training and student technology council program. During GirlTECH's initial two-week training period, held June 18 through June 29 at Rice University in Houston, Texas, participating teachers from the Houston area will receive intensive technology training and explore innovative teaching strategies that impact gender equity in the classroom. This year's TeacherTECH participants also will attend the Mathematical and Computational Sciences Awareness Workshop (MCSA) held during the same 2 weeks.

*TERC Teacher/Research teamTERC's mission to improve math and science education is pursued through project work. TERC currently has over forty-four active projects that are funded by government agencies, private foundations, and industry. The projects form clusters in which the work of one project informs and builds on the work of others. This project is in collaboration with The Math Forum, an online community funded in part by the National Science Foundation and hosted by Swarthmore College, has been built with the contributions of math educators, interested volunteers, and online programming groups, including the Perl and Apache communities. We gratefully acknowledge hardware and software contributions from the Microsoft and Hewlett Packard Corporations.

* Online Internet Institute mentor. The Online Internet Institute (OII) is a collaborative project between Internet using educators, proponents of systemic reform, content area experts and teachers desiring professional growth.

*Park City Mathematics Institute (PCMI) The IAS/Park City Mathematics Institute (PCMI) is a mathematics education program that integrates the research and education components of the mathematics community in a unique way, allowing members of each to attain a deeper understanding of the mathematical enterprise. This program brings together high school mathematics teachers, undergraduate and graduate students, college and university faculty, and researchers working at the most advanced levels of mathematical inquiry to participate in distinct but overlapping programs. Educators and researchrs come together as equal partners in a supportive setting where education at all levels is the explicit concern. The topic for the 1995 summer program is Nonlinear Wave Phenomena.

* Expanding Your Horizons chair 1993-1994. This conference gives middle school girls an opportunity to meet female role models, and to participate in hands-on workshops in non-traditional careers for women. Program Chair 1995; Committee 1996, 1997, Student Program Chair 1999

* Teacher Inservice Chair for the Technology Task Force for Saint Agnes Academy-1995-present. The responsibilities include researching current curriculum needs and implementing them into technology training sessions for teachers.

* Educational Consultant for Girl GamesTM. Girl GamesTM is a newly formed interactive video company that designs software to meet the needs of adolescent young women.

* 1990-1991 Eleanor Roosevelt Fellow. * Participated in the Computational Awareness Workshop--Center for Research on Parallel Computation --1990. This workshop focuses on providing opportunities for mathematics education for under-represented minorities.

* Member of Planning Committee and Participant of the 1991 AAUW Teacher's Institute. This institute gives teachers across the nation the opportunity to meet and network with the nations top researchers in gender equity.

* Presented Gender and Educational Equity at the 1992 NEA conference in Atlanta, Georgia as AAUW representative.

* Participant of The Rice University School Mathematics Project.--1986. RUSMP's principal philosophy is to build a bridge between the Rice mathematics community and Houston-area mathematics teachers.

* 1986-1987 GTE GIFT (Growth Initiative for Teachers) Fellow. This fellowship is awarded to teams of one math and one science teacher to develop and implement an innovative integrated math and science curriculum.

* Member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Texas Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Texas Computer Education Association, American Association of University Women.
